Day 95: Alyx

I am BEYOND excited that the day has finally come when I can celebrate today’s fabulous creative feminist (@alyxbyalyx). From her DREAMY single line drawings to her ever-so-chic fashion portraits, Alyx’s work is stamped with her signature funky style and I just love it!

1. I’m Alyx, a Fine Art graduate based in Norwich. My practise was textile and cast body installations – @alyxgardiner.art and now I am moving into the realm of fine line simplistic illustration with my business @alyxbyalyx, where I’m particularly focusing on portraits and animals.

2. I’ve always been very artistic and have dabbled in many mediums, however, I always find myself coming back to drawing. My illustrative style has evolved with the use of fine line pens and markers which leads to some wobbly lines at times making the pieces totally unique to each individual print.

3. Women inspire me. Daily. Fashion always plays a massive part in my work and a woman’s personal style is a force to be reckoned with!

4. What does it mean to be a creative feminist… so much. It means you can be whoever you want to be and celebrate yourself while being surrounded by likeminded females who want you to do well in your creative field.

Alyx delights in raising up and championing her fellow creative fems and right from the moment we first spoke about her feature she’s been a huge support to me and this beautiful community. So it’s no surprise that in her definition of creative feminism Alyx champions the work of other women in the arts! It’s clear to see that women and all our wonderful forms and styles inspires Alyx, as each portrait and line drawing emphasises our unique beauty! I could go on forever about Alyx’s gorgeous work and practice but I’ll stop there but please show her a BEAUTIFUL welcome to the fem fam by following her page @alyxbyalyx, sharing this post and commenting you love below! Thank you for everything Alyx.
